If you are happy repairing your own set of GHD's then we can supply you with the spare part to carry out the repair. Our ghd spare parts are covered by a 6 month warranty too. If a part should fail within 6 months then we will supply you with a like for like replacement absoultely free of charge.
In most instances our ghd spare parts will surpass the quality of the original hardware. We carry out stringent tests to ensure we supply you with quality parts that will last.

Ceramic heaters (sold in a set of 2 unless specified)
Our ceramic heaters are fully insulated and crimped with eyelets ready to replace your old faulty heater. The heaters have excellent temperature stability and are a direct replacement for your existing broken heater. Please ensure you choose the correct heater from the dropdown list. MK3 heater is compatible with all standard size models up to the Mk4 model. This includes:
Pre mk3, mk3, mk3.1b mk3.1p (the model number should be shown on the inside of the top arm). If there is no model number on the GHD's then they will be the older model and this heater will fit. The mk3 heater is not suitable for the very thin men's styler.
MK3/4 thin heater is compatible with all thin plate stylers. They are considerably thinner than the standard size, 7mm in width instead of the standard 15mm width. They are used in the men's styler which has very thin plates. Available in 170 ohm for the mk3 version and 70 ohm for the mk4 version.
MK4 heater is compatible with all mk4 models and the subsequent models. This is available in 60ohm and 70ohm. The 70 ohm version is suitable for the mk4 model up to the mk4.2+ model. The 60 ohm version is used in the mk4.2+ later models. It should say on the heater plate what the ohm value is. If it doesn't then please contact us for help.
MK4 heater with attached thermistor is a direct replacement top arm heater for all mk4 and subsequent models. It has the temperature regulating thermistor pre-bonded to the heater and is a direct replacement for the existing heater than frequently fails on these models.

Thermal fuse
Our thermal fuses are a far better design than the original item. They do not have an unnecessary ceramic casing over the fuse therefore they are far easier to fit than the original item. They are rated at 227°C and are fully insulated with ring terminals on the end.

Replacement GHD cable
Our replacement GHD cables are all VDE safety approved and are 2.8m salon length. They are direct replacements and are an easy swap for any existing faulty cables. Please ensure you choose the correct cable for your model. The information below will help you determine which is the correct cable.

MK3 cable is suitable for all GHD models up to the MK4.2 model. Please refer to the pictures to the right as you will be able to tell from the shape of the head too. The later MK4.2+ models use a different cable with a longer head and different connection which can be seen from the pictures.
MK3 pink cable is the same as the MK3 black cable but is pink in colour.
MK4.2+ cable is for all of the MK4.2 onward models which use a cable with a socket like connection on the end as opposed to a pin type. You can see from the picture to the right. It is also common for the connector which the cable fits into to become faulty. We sell the cable with the connector so that they can both be replaced together.
You can use the original adapter plug on your existing cable. If you need a replacement adapter plug then please see below as we sell these separately.

Ceramic plate holders
Replacement plastic holders for the ceramic heating plates. Please ensure you choose the correct holder for your model.
MK3 501-n, 501-1 and 601 trays are suitable for the older type mk3 models. It will say on the inside or outside of the plastic tray what the model of the tray is.
MK3.1b tray is suitable for all mk3.1b models.
MK4 tray is suitable for all of the mk4 models and can be used on the newer models which have metal clips that hold the ceramic heater in place.

R8/R11 Resistors
Uprated replacement resistors for the blown r8 or r11 resistors on the mk4 circuit boards. These resistors are more powerful than the original items and are not subject to failing as often as the original items. These are sold in a pack of two.

Heat transfer paste
To ensure your ceramic heaters transfer the heat efficiently to the ceramic plates then you need to apply some heat transfer paste to the underneath of the heater. You will see when taking the GHD's apart that there is a white substance on the underside of the heaters. This is the heat transfer paste. You can purchase this in addition to the heaters via the button below.
