Fake GHDs

There are a lot of fake GHDs in circulation and we have put together a few tips to either help you avoid buying a fake pair or alternatively sending a pair to us to repair. We do not repair counterfeit GHDs. If we receive a fake pair we will notify you however we will refund payment minus return postage, paypal charge and a £5 handling charge. This is non-negotiable and is intended to discourage the GHDs being sent to us.

Please read the tips below to determine whether they are genuine or not.

1.) If your GHDs were bought from a reputable retailer it is highly unlikely they will be fake. Most fake GHDs originate on ebay.
2.) The majority of fake GHDs tend to be the MK4 model, particularly the hot pink MK4 model. All MK4 models should have a year guarantee and you can check the serial number with GHD. Just give them a ring.
3.) If you bought a pair recently and they have stopped working all of a sudden then the chances are they are fake. Even genuine GHDs break frequently but not that quickly.
